Process

Good design starts with understanding how you live

Get in touch by email and a free, informal conversation will be arranged. This is a chance to talk through your project, understand how you live, and identify the right level of support. LAMP will explain how the process works and outline a suitable scope and approach.

Step 1 - Get to know each other

Moving forward, you’ll receive the WHO ARE YOU? questionnaire — designed to build a deeper picture of how you live, what matters to you, and how you make decisions. This helps ensure the design work feels personal, considered, and genuinely reflective of you.

Step 2 - Who are you?

Step 3 - Time to create

From there, the design work begins. Depending on the scope, this may include layout thinking, specific colour direction, and 3D visualisations — tools that help make ideas tangible and easy to understand. Timelines, costs, and deliverables are agreed upfront, so there are no surprises.

FAQ

  • Timelines vary depending on the scope and complexity of the work. Once we’ve discussed your project, a clear timeframe will be outlined and agreed as part of your quote before work begins.

For the Colour Edit, designs are typically turned around within 3 working days.

For all other services, work usually begins following receipt of payment, with timelines confirmed in advance so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Yes — the initial Get to Know Each Other conversation is free.

After you get in touch by email with a brief outline of your project, we’ll arrange a call. This gives me time to review your needs in advance and ensures our conversation is focused and useful.

During the call, we’ll talk through your project, explore how you live, and confirm the most suitable level of support. If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive a clear quote outlining scope, timelines, and costs. Work begins once payment has been received.

  • Following your consultation you will be asked to make your payment. Once payment has been received your design will begin.  (Please note incremental payments are negotiable for larger projects corresponding to project phase).

  • A site visit isn’t always required. Many projects are developed remotely using a dimensioned plan, along with photos or videos you provide.

LAMP works with clients across the UK and internationally, delivering a wide range of residential projects. Whether a site visit is needed is discussed and agreed at the outset.

  •  A collection of photos and a plan are a must.  The plan can be an estate agent plan from your house purchase or a sketch with dimensions by yourself. See below for examples. If possible a video walk through by yourselves would be very useful.
